A couple of days after returning from family vacation, I saw this Lisa Eldridge video and really liked the final results:
Yes, I know, at first her face looks very dark compared to her neck, but keep watching.
I admit I have not been using makeup lately, but the other day I just wanted my eyes to look a bit more interesting and sultry (lol, love that word) without too much work. Now, granted, I didn't use all the (or similar) products Lisa uses in her video because my emphasis, again, were the eyes.
I used my NYX Jumbo Eye Pencil in Slate (which is a kinda metallic dark grey -- like MAC's Sharkskin but softer maybe?) and applied it as she did with the eyeliner (clean fingers!). I blended a little more with my MAC 217. Then, I mixed MAC's Typographic and Carbon e/s and applied them with my MAC 219 as an eyeliner. I did use my UDPP so the shadow would not crease and set it with loose powder. I liked the results and it was so easy to achieve, lol.
Issues with this look: although my e/s did not crease, it did transfer a bit to my upper crease since I have hooded eyes, although that happened hours after I did my makeup and after sweating a lot.
For my face I did used a moisturizing primer and a mix foundation and moisturizer, because I want my tanned skin to last a few more days and I achieve that by keeping it moisturized. Of course, I did not use bronzer. I normally don't combine many moisturizing products in the summer because in my combination skin that translates to greasy, shiny face just a few minutes after applying them.
