Focus on: Handbags---XOXO

Loooooong time ago I mentioned that once in a while I would blog about fashion. Problem is I am not that into the latest trends about clothes or accessories, I just go buy what I like and can afford of course. I'm not saying I don't look at the modern and chic things designers have to offer, but I confess I am not waiting to see what's IN on each season.

That said, I have to say I love handbags. I think handbags are a great and simple way to accessorize your outfit (I hope that's the correct expression). You can add a cool touch to your whole look...or completely ruin it (I've seen pictures....OMG).

And I am thinking about handbags right now because I need to change mine, I have had the same ones for years! They are lovely but enough is enough.

XOXO handbags are so lovely. They are so pretty and modern and girly and...I don't have a single one. Boo!

I like mostly the hobo style, but one thing I like about XOXO is that I love most of their handbags in any style. They are good quality and the price is about right for me. Soooooooooooo, let's see if Santa or the Three Kings are kind to me...LOL. Well, if not I can still hope to get one for Mother's Day?

Country Club Hobo --- $54 USD

Abstraction Double Handle --- $69 USD

This one is so chick and comes in different colors:

Amagansett Double Handle --- $34.99 USD (on sale!)
XoXo.com to get more info. Overstock.com also has a nice variety of these cuties.

But yeah, you know.... I will keep looking at other bags as well. So much to see!

OMG! My site has been attacked!

Sorry people, but it seems that my blog has been attacked. If you try to access my blog using Mozilla Firefox you will get a warning message "Reported Attack Site!" I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!!!!!!!!!!!

I have removed the chat box, the only "suspicious" thing Google could find, but I still get this warning. I requested a review of the website by Google to see if there any more malicious software.

THIS IS SOOOOOOOOOOOO FRUSTRATING!!!!

This not only attacks my work but my credibility. I'm so tempted to delete everything and forget about this. But it hurts, because I love blogging! I don't know what to do. =(

MAC's Emote Blush

I bought one of the Emote Blushes the gorgeous Tammy at Diva4Less was selling on her blog at a great price (go there!) and OMG I love it. I wanted it after I saw Tammy wearing it. Since she and I have pretty similar skin tones I thought it would work for me...and it does!. For me it is THE perfect contour blush.

Tammy girl, thanks for offering to go buy it at your CCO and sending it so promptly, oh and for the samples! You are really great.

LOOK: The Unexpected look

Unexpected because I was gonna do my makeup pretty simple and then saw my Coastal Scents palettes and thought...what if...

I don't like much how I placed the eyeshadows and the blending, but meh...I guess I was in "experimenting" mood.

Here are the colors I used from the regular CS Pallette:

Lids:

Red on crease, Purple on top of it:

Creamy color on browbones:

The look:

I used Soft Pause lipstick again, I am hooked on it.

Tell me what you think =)

LOOK: Neutral (again!) for my son's B-Day

Don't know why, I've been feeling kind of down for the past weeks. In my case, it translates on not wearing makeup for days. Since today was my son's b-day party, I wanted to look nice for him (and the pics of course! LOL). I don't want him to look at his b-day pictures years from now and say "gosh! mom looked like hell".

I decided to go again with one of my neutral looks, but play up a little with the blush. Merrily is oh so lovely. Great color payoff and sooooooo pretty! Long time ago I wrote about these mineralize blushes, saying I wouldn't buy one again, but I am glad I did buy this one. The color is perfect for olive skinned girls.

OH, I am so angry about the way my brows turned out. There was no way I could get them right! Hate when that happens.

Here is the product breakdown of today's look:

FACE
RIMMEL Fix&Perfect Primer
REVLON ColorStay makeup in Toast, mixed with some drops of Eucerin's moisturizer
MAC Full Coverage foundation in NC35 (to conceal nasty acne marks)
NYC Smooth Skin Loose Powder in Transluscent
MAC Mineralize Blush in Merrily
MAC Wedge E/S to contour the hollows of the cheeks--->TIP FROM MAKEUPGEEK.COM!
MAC Strobe lotion as highlighter on the cheeks

EYES
Elizabeth Arden Eye-Fix Primer
MAC E/S in Ricepaper (lids), Embark (crease and as eyeliner) & Shroom (browbones)
MAC Mascara X in Black X

LIPS
L'OREAL Hip Jelly Balm in Luscious
MAC Soft Pause L/S ----> OMG so in love with this.

Okay, in these next two pictures my neck looks way lighter than my face. I just don't get it, the lighting and my camera settings were the same...

The Lips---I LOVE SOFT PAUSE! It give such a
healthy appearance to my lips.

Here's a pic of my family. My boys are so big now! (The cute baby is my super lovely nephey, he's so adorable).---I was a bit tired but happy!

=) Later.
